Created by international designer Alfredo Häberli for BD Barcelona, The Swiss benches series is a collection of public benches that are offering extra functions (besides seating).
The are five types of benches:
- El Poeta (the poet) for people who want to eat or write;
- there is El Banquero (the banker) where you can stand at one side (as bankers do all day) or quickly eat a sandwich;
- for people who need quiet and visual calm, but not alone so they can chat is El Filosofo (the philosopher);
- El Solitario (the loner) is for people who prefer to be alone;
- for couples it’s La Pareja (the couple) where you can stay with that special person without anyone having a chance of sitting between you two.
