The New Berns Hotel

Posted by elutzik on October 28, 2009 | 1 Comment |

The Berns Hotel in Stockholm was built in 1863 in the heart of the city. It was designed by the architect Olle Rex and the material used is mainly marble and cherry wood. The wood accentuates and softens the rooms creating a warm and very pleasing atmosphere. The marble adds to the feeling of elegance. Now it’s time for the rooms to be renewed. A team of young architects called The Olle Rex Arkitektbyra is in charge of this project. They promise a project like no one has ever seen before: “a bed like a trampoline, a unique ‘bathroom’, technically very advanced materials and detailing and much more.”
