Queen Mary’s doll house is a doll house built in 1920 and completed in 1924. It was created as a gift to Queen Mary from the people, and to serve as an historical document on how a royal family might live during that period in England. It showcased the very finest and most modern goods of the period. It was made to a scale of twelve to one and the mechanical and engineering equipment is made to work, including the water system, the electric lights and the two lifts. Even the bottles of wine are actually filled with wine. This house is every little girl’s dream.
