The first thing that came to my mind when I saw these tables was that i could definitely see them in a bar or a club. They look great and have functionality. Apart from a club, they would give a trendy and colorful touch to your apartment as well.

The iPod has become such an indispensable gadget for everyone, that the Italian artist Mirko Ginepro created the iTables for the Milan Design Week. The coffee table has a storage area below the surface and a see through window on top.

The Time Table

How about having a wrist watch as a table? This wood tabletop and desk clock dubbed “Time Table” is a side table inspired by a wristwatch. Featuring an acrylic clock dial set within rosewood which is covered by another layer of functioning glass to protect it and provide a usable table surface, the table clock stands on a leather base which emulates the contours of a wrist watch strap. The clock itself features nickel plated crown detailing and can be illuminated.

Capstan table

Has it ever happened to you to have guests and not enough space at the table? When you have a large family or many friends, you definitely need a large table, which takes up a lot of space. Fortunately, designer David Fletcher thought of this particular problem when he created The Capstan table. This expanding table is unique and it doubles its capacity from six to twelve, at the push of a button, remaining circular in the process. A very important feature is that it stores its expansion leaves within itself.

The mechanism was described as ‘pure magic’ by Boat International magazine; fast and impressive, taking only seconds to fully expand or contract.

Patricia Urquiola created this collection consisting in sofas, chaise lounge, armchairs, a circular sofa and tables for B&B Italia. She approached the outdoors starting from the theme of woven patterns. This collection is suitable for outdoors and gardens, but it can be integrated successfully indoors as well.
