Wooden kitchen accessories

Nowadays, in their home kitchen, people tend to use a lot of iron or steel accessories. Few of them know the big benefits of wooden plates, furniture, cutting boards in the kitchen. For example, did you know that a wooden spoon won’t held the smell in it and it will never damage your expensive cookware? Did you know that it’s always easier to chop food on the wooden cut board? If you like to hang your pots, here’s a tip: a wooden pot rack will never scratch your French onion soup pot.

Another useful kitchen item that it’s very often made of wood, it’s the knife storage. Why you should consider getting one? Because it offers great protection for the knife’s blade and it’s very safe, for you and your children.

“Breakfast for geeks” is the idea of this one-of-a-kind toaster which prints your toast. It looks similar to a desktop ink-jet printer. Sliced bread is stacked and fed into the design from the top,  it’s then toasted and ejected onto the base. This toaster won 2nd prize at the berner design award ’09.

This is a couple’s idea of integrating the kitchen into the living room so that you so that everyone could have free access to it without anything blocking the view of the people relaxing in the living room. Another problem they solved with this is keeping an eye on the children who were playing around the house. You can prepare something to eat or drink your coffee without leaving your living room.
