Every single parent wishes for a beautiful and healthy kid. The growth and development of your child are influenced by the space he spends most of his time. Taking care of the most elementary hygienic rules of the room, you’ll be sure that you’ll raise a healthy kid.
Choose the room with the best light
A kid needs a room to be only his own. The lightning is very important too. During the day, try to provide as much as it’s possible natural light, and use the bulb (or any other source of artificial light) only at night. Remember that your little one’s room has to be the most light full in the entire house. Also, the walls need to be wallpapered or treated with washable dye and painted in discreet colors. About choosing the right color, or wallpaper, ask him his opinion to find out the “client’s” preferences.
Make sure the temperature stays between 64-68 F (18-20 C) degrees
The Oxygen volume in his room it’s obtained by wide opening the windows. Do not forget to protect him against the current when doing this. The windows have to always be sparkling clean in order to get as much light as it’s possible. The doctors say that the temperature has to be maintained between the values above, independent of the season (cold winter or hot summers). When the temperature drops 64 degrees F (18 C), you can heat it up using a stove, central heating or a radiator. In the summer you can provide the right temperature using ventilation (but not directed towards the child!!!) or by dropping the curtains.
Get the furniture that he needs
Make sure you clean and maintain the hygiene in your child’s room every day. When you wish to decorate this room, do not forget to ask him first about his preferences. Do not hesitate to adapt the furniture items to his necessities. For example, if he already goes to school, the furniture has to be composed of a library, a desk, a bed and a wardrobe. The chair and desk’s sizes need to suit him best, and the chair has to have back support to protect his back and hold his elbows. The desk needs to be positioned next to the window, in a way that light comes from the left side and avoid creating shadows on the books or notebooks.
Make sure he get the most quiet room
In order to grow healthy, your kid needs a lot of sleep. Try to give him the most peaceful and protected room in the house, away from all the noise, capable to provide the right environment for study and restful sleep that he needs. Let him sleep alone, and even he won’t like this, try to convince him to sleep with no lamp light.

When you buy a new house, one of the most urgent things to do is to buy some furniture. Of course, after you paint your walls. Anyway, for many this is one of the hardest decisions they have to make, even harder than choosing the wall color.
When you want to buy furniture you have to take some important things in consideration, such as the room you are decorating, whether is a matrimonial bedroom, living room, kids room, garden, kitchen, hallway, closets etc, and the style you would like to adopt in each room.
Even if you don’t have an architect’s advice you can create your own creative space, silence and dreaming by applying some interior design solutions at your fingertips from a variety of styles.
Firstly, you must carefully measure the minimum and maximum dimensions of the desired furniture piece and if world be best if you would take a ruler with you when you go shopping. If possible, ask for sample of the material to see if it integrates with the rest of the room. Fabrics may look different depending on the light. Another important thing is to take your time and don’t be tempted only by what’s on offer. You might end up with stuff you don’t need and maybe not too qualitative.
Lastly, don’t hesitate to ask the personnel of the shop for advice. They are there to help you and it is recommended that you ask their opinion.
Whether you choose a modern furniture of a more classical one, the most important thing is to represent you and make you feel comfortable and peaceful.

After you installed that beautiful, perfect fit mailbox, you painted your fence (wall) to match your gate (front door), you might think that you did everything: it’s perfect! You have the most beautiful front on your street: the grass is just cut, the roof is freshly installed, the windows are crystal clear, the pavement is just washed, not a bit of dust there, but there is one little detail that most of the people forget about – the address plaque.
You might not notice that, it’s too usual, but be sure your mailmen, your courier, friends, date, relatives, colleagues, they won’t miss it! In fact, that’s what they’re looking for! So, why not help them and get a new address sign, cleaner, bigger that can fit your house design.
If you decide to change it, there are a lot of choices out there: wall address plaques, lawn ones, residential, commercial, address numbers (stainless steel, ceramic, glass, nickel, copper), ones that have small drawings and you can even add a solar powered wall address light that can ease the reading at night.

Did you know the most important thing to keep you flowers growing happy all the time? Water them properly. Some flowers need to be watered less than once a week while others need to be watered every day. An apartment palm, for example, needs his leaves sprayed with water every day. Usually, people tend to use water straight from the sink for their plants. It’s good, of course. But you can also add some ingredients in it to make it even better (there are all kind of products in the store for this).
But did you know, that the best water plants can get is.. rain water? Just think about it: in the wild, they don’t have water from the sink, or special ingredients for growing or shining. They only got .. rain.
But rain harvesting is not always an easy job, especially if you have a large garden. Some people thought about this and now we have rain barrels: a large plastic barrel that you position under your water pipe, with a tap at the bottom for easy use. Don’t worry about the design of these rain water barrels, you’ll have a lot of options to choose from: shape, size, color, material.
If you consider yourself a handy man you can easily build one yourself, from an usual barrel, but if you are the lazy type, don’t worry, there are online stores where you can find rain barrels for sale.

Well, there not much to say here. Below are some pictures with the beautiful podium used at the Winter Olympics 2010 in Vancouver. It was design by James Lee and Leo Obstbaum and it’s made of wood donated by some organizations and business. Of course, there isn’t only one podium. The smallest size is 4.8m and the largest 15.3m in length, and about half a meter at his highest point (the gold medal).
The two designers also created trays to present the medals, with a non-slip surface.
