Sparkling lighting system

Description from German designer Daniel Becker:

Sparks attempts to freeze a fleeting moment and record it emotionally. The light appearance of a split second is compressed and duplicated volumetrically.

Technically, it is a modular lighting system which consists of three different modules made of aluminum tubes. They can be arranged with a simple plug-in system in various configurations to form a three-dimensional structure. Every module can be rotated freely in 360° which makes the whole system easily adaptable to every possible architectural situation. There are virtually no limits in the size. The lighting elements are based on low-energy LED modules which are hidden behind cones made of frosted acrylic glass.

Light-Form wall lighting system

MADLAB’s Bacterioptica Chandelier

This unique chandelier was designed by MADLAB for a couple who`se house is not exactly neat and tidy. In fact, it’s quite full of family members (three children, a dog, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins) and house plants, insects, allergens, fungi, and billions of bacteria that live with, on and among all humans! All MADLAD did was create a chandelier that represents this family exactly. The chandelier is made of Petri dishes, metal rods and 15,000 feet of fiber optics.

Lola Wood Light – I want it for myself

I just love this Lola Wood Light and it would go great in my newly decorated room. It’s just the missing piece. Maybe its size (40 inches (101.1 cm) in diameter and 27.5 inches (70 cm) in height) would be a problem for my room, which is not too big… But if you have a big room and love it, just like me, you can purchase it here for $1300.

Wrecking Ball Light

Studio Job created this one of a kind lamp which looks just like a Wrecking Ball and Crane which makes up think of industry and constructions. They took an enormous machinery which is used on construction sites and simply miniaturized it into an ornamental design object.

Flexible cube lamp

The cube lamp was created by the Polish designer Ewa Garniec . This alterable, shape shifting lamp in the shape of a 27×27×28cm cube was built out of recyclable materials, including its sponge-like packaging and the aluminum base. It creates a diffuse light, which doesn’t blind since it’s only 40W, and it doesn’t take up much space. It is perfect for give your room an ambient lighting.

Hanging lamps for Halloween

I know there’s still time until Halloween, but i thought i should start to present you some items suited for Halloween, so i choose some hanging lamps. They’re not too scary, but they sure area bit sinister.

Colgao is a table lamp handmade by enPieza! studio and is made of electric wire and iron treated against corrosion.

How about a hanging lamp made of 135 cm of neon that looks like a noose? Marie Thurnauer designed this lamp and is available here for 4750.00 €.

Kim Jiyoun designed this other interesting lamp which is also really fun.

Last but not least, is this lamp by Ana Maria Design and is made cotton which has been braided around the power cable making it seem like rope.
