The Garota do Calhau (Girl of the Pebble) collection by Madeira-based architect/designer Nini Andrade Silva is inspired from the rolling pebbles of Madeira Island. The Sun Pebble Sensation Sofa from the collection features a structure made by fiberglass or aluminum and coating in synthetic rattan. The price for this sofa is €8,600 (about $11,385), but part of the profit goes to the “Garota do Calhau” foundation.

Artist Johnny Swing recently gave a new meaning to the idea of having money. He started using coins of different sizes and values to create a collection of items, all made of coins.

The Nickel Couch will give the interior that is located a luxurious and glamorous look. It is made from approximately 7000 nickels, 35,000 welds and a substructure of stainless truss work utilizing 350 feet of stiffening rods. The Couch sits alone as sculpture or as an interactive work, inviting the viewer to sit or lounge while being surrounded by money.
